Our school has limited resources within our building. For Physical Education classes, we need to think outside the box to create an engaging and meaningful curriculum. We have a robust yoga unit every year as it is something that the teachers and students enjoy, but also fits our space. Every year, it is great to see the students become inspired as many continue their practice outside of class. The benefits of Yoga help our students navigate the rigorous academic program by easing their body and minds. It is truly the perfect complement to our school. This is not only evident by student performance, but by the feedback from students and staff alike. Yoga mats have a shelf life and need to be replaced every year.
