The materials for my project will be used to create a circuit exploration lab. The Snap Circuits Snaptricity kit will be used to explain the basics to small groups. Then, once they understand the components, the student groups will move onto the larger SC-750 kits. The battery eliminators will remove the requirement of using batteries to power the kits. This makes the lab easier to sustain over longer periods of time. They will have the freedom to create and test their own complete circuits which create visual and auditory effects that they can both see and hear. One of the most difficult concepts for a 3rd grader to picture is how a circuit works. They can be drawn on paper, but that makes them simple and boring. Students love to create something of their own, and this project will give them a chance to do so!
