My classroom is in need of several manipulatives to assist in engaging students with special needs. My students will benefit exponentially with manipulatives such as Legos, Bristol Blocks, GeoMag blocks, Light Stax blocks and Magnet Tiles. Manipulatives play an integral role in educating students with varying exceptionalities because they help them build cognitive and fine motor skills. Their versatility will fit the educational needs of both high and low functioning students. These items also help with hand eye coordination, build their creativity and imagination. I plan on having team building projects which will allow my students to enhance their social skills.
