Our students display above average resiliency, determination, intellectual curiosity and a strong desire to achieve academically. HD Woodson STEM SHS is located in the far Northeast corner of Washington, DC and is the only public high school in Ward 7. Recent school closures that resulted in a dramatic increase in our enrollment combined with budget cuts, resulted in our leaders being forced to choose between retaining faculty positions or purchasing supplies. This year, 99% of our students access free and reduced lunch and recent poll results revealed that less than 1% of our students have access to a graphing calculator for personal use.
