My students are ages 3-5 and must qualify for my classroom through testing, based on developmental disabilities such as traumatic brain injuries, heart defects, Down's Syndrome, Autism, non-verbal/speech disabilities, and physical disabilities requiring the use of orthotics. My students CAN learn and this is the happiest place to do just that! In order to prepare my students for 21st Century living, technology allows me to provide intensive interventions so they can learn. Currently, I do not have a laptop that is compatible with my Smart Board. I want to be able to create interactive and literacy-rich activities for my students on the Smart Board to enhance speech and social skills. I want to be able to use the pens with the Smart Board to teach them crucial pre-writing skills that they cannot learn sitting at a table. A Smart Board's possibilities in this setting are endless. Thanks for considering this project!
