When students enter the media center, they require a place to read, collaborate, and work on a project with others. This requires a room with flexible seating options in a variety of shapes and sizes. Adding different table sizes and more comfortable furniture allows students to choose an area to work that meets their needs. Whether they need a table space to collaboratively work on a project or a comfy couch or chair in which to read a book, the media center should provide the appropriate seating. As of now, our seating includes tech tables designed for computers (which we do not utilize as we have iPads) and chairs that no longer have cushion left in the seat. Being able to start the next school year with seating that sets a comfortable atmosphere and tone for the room would be wonderful for our students!
