At such an early age my kindergarten students have already had many experiences. Some are positive and a lot are negative. In most cases school is an escape from that pressure. I teach kindergarten in a low income, highly mobile neighborhood. My ESL students face several challenges throughout their learning career with mastering language being essential to academic achievement. I have found science to be a meaningful outlet, rich in language experiences!!!
