I strive to create a space where students develop a love for reading. Our students deserve a comfortable space to relax and delve into a good book. With comfy seating, students can decompress from the busy playground and escape the daily stresses that home-life may present, as majority of our student's families are socioeconomically disadvantaged. I want to foster a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment, so that students can enjoy free and independent reading. Creating this space provides access to literacy that our students might not otherwise have. This project reaches all students and will help deepen their connections to print material and the world around them, enriching their library experience.
