Math, data collection health and fitness collide in this fun project that the students are sure to enjoy. My goal as a teacher is to try and make the things that I am teaching relevant to today's youth. I hope in this project to make data and statistics more relevant while at the same time improving the health and fitness of the students. By tracking their own fitness goals students will see how they can improve their overall fitness by eating right and making an effort to get more exercise. At the same time, we will be using the data that we collect to improve our math skills using real-world situations. Students are sure to be engaged with this year-long project.
