In my classroom I created Bartel Bucks as a positive reward system. The students can earn bucks for coming to school on time, active listening, participating, thinking out side the box, helping a friend, showing acts of kindness and much more. The students are responsible for their own money and the pouches will help them stay organized. Also every Friday, the "bank" opens and they can buy rewards with their money. The levels start at 30 and go all the way up to 500! Some example of rewards are a sweet treat, lunch with me, free homework pass, tell a joke, special seat and many more. I also have extra recess time at 500 and will allow the students to "pool" their money together. This is a great way to have them learn to work together to achieve a goal.
