All children deserve to have all the greatest books available to them to read. They need books that will take them on a far away journey to lands and places unknown, to immerse them in the worlds of their favorite characters, to jump into stories that keep us turning the pages. I gave my students the opportunity to make a "book wish list" for our classroom library. Some of the titles and series' that the students really wanted were; The Series of Unfortunate Events, A to Z Mysteries, Judy Moody, Wonder, and many, many more. This is my very first year teaching elementary school. In our classroom we spend time every day reading any book that interests us. However, I am so new, I don't have many books in my classroom library for my kids to read during the day! So having a few books in my students' book boxes for them to read has been challenging. I would love the chance to grow my classroom library and provide my students with books to read during school.
