In 9th grade Algebra 1, students learn the foundational concepts of algebra that prepare them for higher-level math. They explore topics such as solving linear equations and inequalities, graphing on the coordinate plane, working with functions, and simplifying expressions, including polynomials. Students also learn how to factor, solve quadratic equations, and analyze relationships between variables. Real-world problem solving and critical thinking are emphasized throughout the course to help students apply math in meaningful ways.
