My students need games and activities that focus on math and reading phonics. They also need to be exposed to the technology of the 21st century, which most do not have access to at home. In order to succeed in today's education, students need to know how to operate technology. Tablets will help students become more familiar with proper use of technology, and offer opportunities to play fun and meaningful games to improve their math and reading fluency. Tablets will also help differentiate my students as there are so many activities at different levels, so each student can practice a game that is at his/her own level. My ELL students will be able to complete activities with both visual and auditory support, which is a huge help in their growth of learning English. Your generous donation will give my students a chance to use technology in meaningful way - a rare opportunity for most of them. The addition of technology will give my students a much needed boost of practice in the areas of math and reading. They will be more motivated to learn their math facts and reading phonics using the tablets. They will also be ready as scholars of the 21st century who know how to effectively use technology to their advantage.
