Looking for a way to support the most fantastic opportunity for learning in the schools? Support Music in the classroom! I teach band and general music students in grades 6, 7, and 8. Everyday, I teach more than 100 of our children in the middle school band room. Some come to me to learn to play an instrument. They express themselves, work as a team, and become leaders in their peer group as a result of the skills the gather within the four walls of my room. Other children are thrust into my room because there is not room for them elsewhere, and in here they find the tools and guidance to become inspired and inspire others. I serve the most gifted of students, the most average of children, the ones that are left behind, and the ones that will lead the crowd. I teach them all, and they all learn to love music.
