My first graders are an amazing group of students that are made up of different races, cultures, and socioeconomic status'. Some students have experienced homelessness and come from adverse home lives. The majority of my class qualify for the free or reduced lunch program. It is my job to create a safe and learning environment for them each day where they can grow and learn and reach their goals in and out of school. My students are energetic and their love of learning is evident when you walk into the classroom. They bring their best each day no matter what they may be facing at home.
