My students need these essential items like pencils, erasers, crayons, and glue because many of the families in the area don't have the extra money to buy these items. That is also why I am asking for the flash cards. It is vital that they practice daily at home and master their multiplication facts. Many of the students I have go home to parents that work late and don't have time to help them so the flash cards are something they can use on their own. I would also like to incorporate interactive notebooks, using the composition books, so the students will have something to take home to help them with their homework. The dice, multiplication bingo, and task cards will help to teach and reinforce many different math skills they will learn in the classroom. I truly believe that having these materials will help the year run more smoothly and help the students succeed at school and at home.
