My students are the greatest kids I could ask for. They want to learn so much, but can not do that because of the lack of resources. My school is in a small town and is low SES. My students would appreciate to receive new materials that they could use daily in the classroom. These students do not have the materials to listen to reading or keep a writing journal. In first grade it is very important for my students to learn how to read and write. In my classroom, my students only have one computer that they can use during the day. Also, we have one teacher iPad that I occasionally let my students use for listen to reading. This is why I am requesting a listening center for my firsties! I want my students to be able to listen to our reading stories and other books. A lot of my students are below grade level in reading and I need all the resources that I can to help them get the best education they can.
