In the different challenges, students will be assigned a structure to build and given a list of possible materials to be used. Teams will work together to choose the right materials to build their structure and stay within a purchasing budget for those materials. Students will follow the steps of the Engineering Design Process for this challenge. Each group will need a challenge card and a cost sheet. Groups will decide from the challenge card what they are going to build and what it will cost. As soon as students know what they will build, they should be to sketch it out.
