My students need a warm and welcome environment. Hybrid teaching is difficult when you are a first-year teacher with virtually nothing in her classroom. I want my students to be able to learn from the posters that are in the classroom. Everything on this list will help my students learn about diversity in the classroom and help me grow as a teacher. Students will see themselves in the authors that are on this list. Paying extra attention to the normally ignored women authors, I want my students to be able to read what they want and see themselves in the stories they choose. The posters on this list also focus on the empowerment of women. I want everyone to look around the classroom and feel like they are being represented. In-person students will also be able to use the supplies in the classroom.
