I want to create a classroom that is fit for the 21st Century. Students will be able to choose their seat based on what their needs are for that day. There will be more collaboration in the classroom because of these awesome seats. I want to empower my students with freedom and choice in their learning areas. Adults rarely sit in a desk the whole day during work, so why have children do it? Many studies explain the benefit for students who are able to sit either in a desk, on a beanbag chair, at a standing table, and so on. We are already able to do so much hands-on and cooperative learning, I can only imagine where our classroom will go with a new set-up! I am asking for bean bags for kids to sit on in different spots around the room, cushions for students to use on the floor or in a chair, and bands that go around chairs so students can move around and get out energy. These will all help with our new flexible seating classroom! Thank you!
