These three books about famous artists include everything you need to keep students engaged - art, mystery and suspense! Increasingly, the arts are underfunded in schools and students lose their sense of creativity and wonder as they progress through school. Through integration of the arts and literacy, I can introduce them to a whole new world full of color and imagery! I would like to support the arts through discovering famous artists described in these three novels. Students will read all three, make connections between the texts, engage in high-level discussions, and conduct an in-depth artist research project - culminating in an art gallery show!
