My project focuses on teaching my students the basic strategies of reading and learning to read in a fun way! I ordered touch and read phonics based activities, leveled sight word cards, interactive sight word games, daily activity journals, two tablets, and assessment materials. The materials will incorporate a fun and enjoyable way of learning while my students work on important foundation reading skills they have missed over the years. The materials will give students practice in the areas of phonemic awareness, phonics, identifying sounds, technology, and comprehension skills. I feel my students will look forward to coming into the classroom daily and having fun working with these materials while learning the vital foundation skills necessary for reading.
