These materials will help my students to look deeper into the solar system and the space around them. With the upcoming solar eclipse, I want to take my students on a journey through space. Using a model to understand the movement of the planets will help the kids visualize the galaxy around them. Having the eclipse viewing glasses will make watching the eclipse safe for everyone. We will use the space distance lab to help the students understand the vastness of space. I believe these items will make learning about space science fun, engaging, and leave a lasting impression on the students.
