The items I chose for my project is to give my students several options for flexible seating, so they may be able to accommodate their needs and increase their focus for learning. The stability balls and wobble cushions are to help my students who have ADD, ADHD, etc. needs, and must have movement and sensory input to stay focused. The pillows and bean bags will accommodate those who prefer to sit on the floor and work. The clipboards will allow students using beanbags to work on a flat surface. The book bins will hold storage for my students’ supplies in place of desk storage. My classroom will be the first classroom to implement flexible seating at my school. With this opportunity, not only will my students have options for seating, but it may open the door for other students in other classes to have options for flexible seating one day as well.
