A 20 cubby storage container will help keep our math area organized, and be more prepared for a third grader to use. Right now, it is a struggle for students to locate the needed manipulatives during math. In third grade, we are still trying to build conceptual understanding in math, so I want students to use manipulatives as often as they are needed. Our school was built in the 1940's, so our rooms are much smaller than the average elementary classroom. Because of this, it is important for us to maximize our space whenever we can. Having this storage space will make daily manipulatives much more accessible than they are right now.
