I am requesting a round table and cushioned seats from Lakeshore Learning. These would benefit my students by giving them a place to work and also a place to calm themselves when they become overstimulated. Kindergartens are expected to work and seat for a longer period of time than they are accustomed to. Kindergarten can be overstimulating to some students because they have never been to school before. Also, several of my students come from broken homes and experience homelessness throughout their childhood. I feel that giving them a place of their own, will relieve some of the burdens that they experience outside of the classroom.
