We are easing into spring during this pandemic school year. Kindergartners will be spending more time outside playing and exploring. About ten years ago, I did a version of this photography project with disposable film cameras. :) Children had "assignments" such as taking photos of nature, people, objects, etc. They also had ample time to take photos of their choice. They created individual displays for their photos, and then shared them with the school community. This year's Donors Choose project is designed in a similar way. It will be both informative and exciting to see all of the different ways that children use photographs to document this spring of learning. By having a supply of cameras, I will also be able to implement this project in the future. Children are natural creators when given the right materials and a supportive environment. Stay tuned for updates! :) Happy almost Spring!!
