"Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it." --Proverbs 22:6 If we teach our children to be open to diversity and accepting of other's differences now, imagine the impact it will have on everyone's future. In addition to our zoning differences, this school year, I will be teaching the inclusion class; which means that I will have even more students with diverse abilities. Since our classroom is going to be comprised of students from many walks of life, I would like to teach them about accepting diversity from day one. I believe that these books will be an engaging stepping stone into active discussions and understanding of diversity.
