It's no secret that kids are little balls of energy that need to move! Movement increases circulation to allow the brain to relax and take in the information being learned. Our brains are designed to learn information in short bursts with time to process the information. Movement allows for this crucial processing time. The Stamina Bike will give students the opportunity to move their legs while their top half is focused on the task at hand. The stability balls will also provide students with an outlet for their energy. We will also be able to use the balls for high yield strategies that we do in class to engage students in learning. Both the bike and the balls will provide seating for students who need to move a little in order to be successful in their school work. Every child can learn when they have the materials they need to be successful! Movement also helps students to stay engaged in classroom content. When students are given the opportunity to move and get their energy out in appropriate ways, they are able to focus on the task at hand and, in turn, learn more! Your donations for this project will aid in the success of many students by giving their brains a short break and preparing them for more learning! And most importantly, it will allow them to be kids and remind them that learning is fun!
