I am a teacher in an ABLE (Academic Behavior Learning Environment) classroom. This means the students in my class are all on the autism spectrum. My students are both low and high functioning. My students love books and are ready for a variety of mediums to experience them. Having graphic novels and audio books along with lower level chapter books will allow my students multiple ways to enjoy reading that will also meet their needs. Their reading levels range from Kinder to 3rd grade. Our school is Title I, so many of our students may only have the opportunity to read while in the classroom.
