I have requested a class set of Flat Stanley to be primarily used for a novel study. We will discuss the elements of a story (plot, theme, characters) and be able to have access to authentic children's literature. Also, the length of the book will help students increase reading stamina without overwhelming them. The ten "I can read" Flat Stanley books I have requested will help students at a lower reading level access information about the character and theme in a small group setting. Flat Stanley also opens up the opportunity for many crosscurriclar activities. This book can be integrated with geography, measurement, letter writing, language, writing, civics. Your donation to this project will help support my students and myself on our quest to become better readers. We can't learn to read if we don't have the books.
