Flexible seating in the elementary classroom is becoming more and more popular for a reason! IT WORKS!! Flexible Seating allows students to become more independent and take charge of their own learning. They can choose seating that it comfortable and beneficial for them. This helps them complete their work more quickly and efficiently.
These flexible seating items are wonderful for students who have trouble focusing and paying attention. It allows them to have choice during their day, but it also aids them in the learning environment. I have seen students become more engaged and focused during lessons when they are able to use flexible seating. They also feel more comfortable in the classroom environment; therefore, they are able to get their work done more efficiently.
Overall, this will help my classroom and my 17 students function much more productively and comfortably. I will be able to use these seating options for years to come as well, so multiple 2nd grade students will have the opportunity to benefit from this project!
