Providing our students with working computers in the classroom will revolutionize their learning experience. A common struggle among teachers today is that students only have access to computers when it comes time to take standardized tests. Being the largest school in Baltimore city we have a unique challenge in providing equitable access to technology on a regular basis.
With these laptops we will spend a significant amount of time developing their skills with applications like Google drive to develop their proficiency in creating, sharing, and formatting their essays and research papers. During our team debates, groups will be able to access information to develop their arguments and structure rebuttals and counterarguments that address the other teams in real time.
Ensuring that students are proficient in finding reputable sources online and developing their writing through shared files is the best way we can serve our students to be prepared for college and their future careers in the twenty-first century.
