Students at my school generally come from low socioeconomic households. We are a great Title 1 school with awesome students. We face many issues at our school that stem from the lack of educational funding. What we lack in funding, we make up with effort and awesomeness. We have to problem solve when it comes to budget short falls. In the art room, I have to get "creative" when it comes to using classroom supplies and how I spend what little money I am given. At my school, the Standards for what the students are to learn are always being raised but what we are given to meet these high standards is always being decreased...thus creating a huge gap. I hope that my students do not fall into this gap, and I hope that budgetary issues do not effect the education of my students.
