The chairs and various seating will help my students who need sensory outlets regulate their emotions and behaviors. The art and fidget/chew items help with their daily sensory diet needs. These kids feel and process differently than typical children. With sensory needs met, they can focus on learning. The games and activities will also provide incentives for students to participate and grow in their education. It will help them learn teamwork and cooperation. These materials will be used in more than just my classroom as well. Things like the white boards and clipboards will also help me take my students outside to learn and cooperate and grow together. A change of scenery works wonders. Many of my students may be behaviorally or emotionally challenged, but intellectually need stimulation. Legos are an amazing tool for students with complex minds as the creativity is endless. They’re also excellent with promoting working together and a great incentive when students complete their work. Most of these students don’t have the financial means to enjoy such equipment and sensory release at home. I’d love for them to feel safe and secure in my room so that the most learning can happen. I want them to feel loved. Please help me.
