There are many reasons why students might opt to learn from home. Some of my students are medically fragile. Some of them, due to special needs or personal learning style, learn more effectively in an environment that is under their control. Some families need the flexibility that online learning provides. Whatever the reason our students have chosen remote instruction, our team at the Virtual Learning Academy know it is possible to form meaningful relationships with our students and deliver quality instruction while teaching online. The pandemic was disruptive to education, but we are creative educators who are committed to embracing the opportunity to innovate and exploring the new possibilities that technology provides. I am excited to be a part of the future of education!
