I have been given the amazing opportunity to teach in 2 very unique classrooms with students that are a mixture of English Language Learners, refugees, special education, general education, and much, much more. My students are ages 4-8 in Boulder City, NV and a special mix of (25 or less extremely high poverty) children, kindergarten to 5th grade age, in the tiny town of Searchlight, NV. Art education is a great way to connect my students with practical, real world scenarios in which they are able to learn and grow. If you enter my classroom you will see students sewing, printing, drawing, painting, weaving, hand-crafting and working together to meet the challenges that are provided to them. I service around 350 children in a school year because my student population changes so frequently. I am relying heavily on donors choose to get my students many basic supplies to take their learning from great to outstanding!
