Poor performance on standardized tests, low socioeconomic status, disadvantaged --- the community sees my kids in many negative ways. What they don't always see from my urban kiddos is potential. My students are clever and hard working. They lack resources in the classroom and --- for many of them --- support at home, but not passionate teachers. It would go a long way to have complete strangers care about their education, care about it enough to open up a pocketbook and help.

About my class
