Early this school year, as I sat in a high school performance of Folklorico, an intuition motivated me to give our elementary students an opportunity to initiate a ballet folklorico team. Next day, I approached my principal and asked him what he thought of my idea. He right away gave me the okay, but now we need shoes to make our dream come true. The shoes will not only provide the completion of our attire, but will give the students an understanding of culture and dance traditions. Folklorico is remarkably beautiful and I would like to provide an opportunity for our students to learn about the amazing art, music, and literature behind ballet folklorico. Please help me make our folklorico team a successful performing arts program.
