Teachers, counselors, and administrators are well aware that our students have been greatly impacted via COVID and remote learning. IF, we do not address the Social-Emotional well-being of our students we are ignoring mental roadblocks to their learning. We can no longer ignore mental health, it is not a pseudo-science. With innovative lessons and books to reinforce Social-Emotional Learning students and I will connect in the classroom via StoryTime, lessons, pull-out instruction per need, Google Classroom activities, and more. I have already started some of these ideas, but due to budget constraints, I have had to pause some of my creativity as the credit card bills roll in. Elementary School Counselors are new in this district so I am starting from the ground up.
