These supplies will help me guide my students towards meeting their individualized learning goals. It will allow them to engage in repeated practice either independently or in partnerships. They will participate in kinesthetic learning. They will learn by touching and manipulating objects. Sand, clay and magnetic letters will lead them from letter sound recognition towards blending to read and write decodable words. Learning to become better readers, writers and mathematicians will uplift their confidence and increase their motivation to persist through challenges encountered due to their disabilities or delays. They will confidently have the opportunity to use these materials in a smaller setting in order to help them develop academically and use strategies to enable success within an inclusive setting alongside their peers.
