These materials will support my English Language Learners as we learn about the rich culture and traditions of the beautiful country of China. Students will use literature as a mode of transportation. We will hop aboard a book as we experience Chinese New Year, the Dragon Boat Festival and the Mid-Autumn Festival. We'll dive in the pages as we journey to The Great Wall of China and to see the Terra-Cotta Warriors. The classroom will be decorated with Chinese flags, red lanterns and dragons. Students will use the chopsticks as we enjoy a traditional Chinese meal. We will practice the ancient art of Chinese Origami, sample traditional snacks, and learn common Mandarin phrases. Thank you for supporting us on this journey across the world!
