My special education students need my full attention and support. A small group instruction table will allow me to help several students at once. I currently teach small groups by moving their desks around and this causes issues with transitioning and problems with materials and manipulatives. A small groups table will allow me to better service my students' needs as required by their IEPs. I feel like they will be more likely to seek assistance if they have a specific working area and I may be able to bring some of my wallflowers out of their shells. A proper instruction table will really pull the room together and make it feel more like a warm classroom and less like a little closet at the end of the hall.
