  • Extra! Extra! Math All About It

    Funded Feb 9, 2022

    My students and I thank you so much for the math manipulatives! We use them during our small group math stations daily. I have already seen a huge growth in my students' understanding of the mathematical concepts due to being able to have hands on materials to help them solve their math problems. My students prefer to have their materials and enjoy the games we play while using them. When I opened the boxes with my students containing the items from my projects they could not believe strangers could buy them "such cool stuff". We are beyond grateful for all the donations we go to get the items they need!”

  • Are We Scientists or Mathematicians? How About Both!

    My students and I are so thankful for you donation towards our learning. The document camera get used everyday and allows me to work on the exact document the students are using no matter where in the room we are. The camera makes it easy to allow myself or a student helper to work so everyone can see it at the same time.

    My students have used the math boards during testing to help them find the answers they need! We have already started using them in small groups so we can close the achievement gaps in a final ms interactive way.”

  • Help Us Get Our Wobbles Out!

    My students are so excited and happy to have choices of which flex seating they want. My classroom now has enough flex seating options so every child every day has a choice of what makes them comfortable. It makes the classroom friendlier and makes them more responsible for their learning! The students help maintain the seats and cushions and to make it fair we switch after lunch so everyone has a chance to get a different flex seat option if they chose. Having more options and enough for every student has cut down on fighting over who gets what seat on what day or time. Thank you so much to our donors for making our wish come true.”

  • Interactive and Sensory Learning

    My students love the wobble chairs. So much so that now every student wishes they had one! We use our new math manipulatives daily which helps them get a lot more hands on with math. They also make the students more involved in and responsible for their learning! The new math manipulatives allow my students to visualize their learning as well as makes math more concrete for my visual learners. Many of my students often like to use their manipulatives during indoor recess as well! We cannot wait to be able to do partner group work again with all our new materials. We appreciate everything we have gotten so much.”

A lot of my students come from hardship and have sensory difficulties which take away from their learning. With the help of these sensory furniture as well as the engaging and interactive math tools I hope to make learning more fun. My students will enjoy these items so much and will help them understand better with the hands on materials provided.
