I am lucky to be a part of a school community that represents a diverse, inquisitive and supportive group of scholar activists! My sixth graders represent general education, special education and ESL/ENL learners from different countries, including the United States. One of our school's mantras is to "Let's keep it moving to college and beyond!" Our scholars embrace this on a daily basis and set goals for themselves to achieve their dreams. Our school lacks much needed 21st century technology to support scholar learning. Whenever there is an opportunity to use technology in the classroom, engagement increases and scholars are excited to participate, learn and transfer this learning beyond the classroom. Despite the lack of resources that exists in our community, we continue to try to find ways and means to bring our scholars into the 21st century. I seek the support to make this happen!
