One of my biggest tasks is figuring out how to challenge my high students and how to raise my lower kids. I want to help differentiate my instruction to help all my students. We have made adjustments as a school to tackle this problem. I have implemented skilled based groups to focus on student's weaknesses and strengths. I want to implement technology to help me overcome this challenge. I will use iPads in small groups so students can work on specific learning targets. This will help me differentiate my instruction to benefit my students. With over 65,000 apps, iPads can prove to be very beneficial in the classroom. My project includes using these iPads to build on students' foundations. We have skilled based groups for Math and Reading and iPads will help my students learn at their own pace and reinforce standards learned in class. They will use the iPads in groups with specific tasks that will integrate different areas such as Social Studies, Science etc. My students are very enthusiastic about technology. My classroom also needs an Apple TV to promote technology. An Apple TV will allow the students to demonstrate their work to the class. I can go around and take picture of students' work and put it up instantly. It will also allow students to get more individualized attention because I will be able to roam around the classroom while working on assignments. With a class of 24 third graders this is very helpful. By donating to my project, you will be helping my wonderful students better use technology to help their learning. I plan on using the iPad to video students and their projects. I plan on using many apps such as Kahoot, Google Expeditions and NearPod. Thank you your consideration in helping my students.
