The First two lines of the FFA Motto are Learning to Do, Doing to Learn. That is the motto of our classroom as well. Retention of information seems to be greater when we work hands on as compared to lecture based instruction. Productivity is also up on projects that involve hands on learning. Bringing agriculture alive is something that I would love to do for these students. Starting with this project students will have a world of poultry production open up to them. Arkansas is a leader in Poultry production but in our area it is more of a crop area instead of animal. Students need to see what the animal industry consists of. With this project this is possible.
