In a special education classroom in a low-income school, we daily face challenges that are not always present in a general education classroom. With this project, I am focusing on updating the sensory tools and learning resources that my students have access to. Reading basics and comprehension are the highest needs. Working with Kindergarten to 3rd grade we are ranging with learning our letters to reading chapter books. Additionally, we lack everyday supplies such as tissues, hand sanitizer, and wipes. Our students struggle to provide these materials for their grade level classes, therefore, we always must supply our own or go without.
