These materials will effect how students recognize how food is grown and they will learn to make smarter choices in the foods that they eat. They will also benefit from seeing how these foods create a healthier body and mind through our science lessons. This dual hydroponic/farm gardening system will be used to set up science experiments as we compare vegetable and fruit plant growth in water versus soil. We would extend this knowledge by comparing the taste of the produce. Our culminating activity will include a meal utilizing our produce. Having this hands-on experience will make science learning fun!
