Imagine being in a room with 17 other people while trying to read, write, and focus on the task at hand. There's not much room for you to move around and you can hear everything others are doing because you have someone right next to you on each side. How long could you work before becoming distracted or even frustrated? Flexible seating elevates student engagement. It is no secret that children need to move. Flexible seating will allow my students to work in a comfortable environment. Students need to constructively release energy or they can easily become distracted or become a disruption to the learning environment. Floor seats, bands for chairs, balance balls, comfy pillows, and wobble chairs will help ALL of my students do their best work and stay calm, focused, and productive.
